“My husband was driving on a highway going 55 mph when the engine light came on and then the car completely shut off and died and would not start. It left him stranded on the highway with no shoulder at -35F. Ford now tells me they cant even look at the vehicle to see what is wrong until April 2025.”

“2022 Ford Maverick had water build up under the front passenger seat floor. I'm at 3.5 years of ownership and the dealer is telling me it will cost $1100 to fix because of an improperly installed windshield and cowl issue which ruined the internal filter and air circulation motor. Now i have to pay out of pocket because of a crappy manufacturer defect. I have seen in Maverick forums that this is a common issue and yet we are the ones having to fork out the cash.”

“Driving down road at 45 mph as usual. Car suddenly shudders and as I pull to a stop car is stuck in neutral. Will not receive gas. Suddenly lurches into first gear, almost making me hit who is in front of me. I pull into center lane and the car is frozen and won't move. I restart the car and it stays stuck in first gear revving high. I limp it home given I'm a few minutes away. Could have caused a serious incident.”

“In October 2023, we took our 2022 Ford Maverick to a local Ford dealership for a front airbag recall. However, after we picked up our Maverick and we got home we noticed a deep scratch across the top of the dash and the tool from the technician in the console. We contacted the dealership about this scratch. Our Maverick was taken to the dealership in January 2024 for this repair. Upon the completion of installing the dash, the technician scratched the outside of the driver’s side front door causing yet another delay. …”
