“When we brought it in for first oil change at the dealership ; when we got it back it had a broken axle which they tried to say we just needed new tires , after contacting service manager and he and I go for a ride in it they kept it for several weeks and put over 300 miles on it and got ford engineering involved to determine the cause was broken axle. It has been replaced again since then supposedly by a recall but it feels like it is broken again ! …”

“After a little over 3 years, my truck has had issues maintaining its 12v battery putting me at risk of being stranded. The battery was replaced once under warranty. Now that I am out of warranty, the replacement battery is now going bad.”

NHTSA complaint #11709634, filed 2026-01

“while i was driving the truck lost power and i could not turn on my 4 way flashers when i was on the side of the road. when i called ford and asked if i would replace the battery if i would get compensation they told me no even though there is a recall”

NHTSA complaint #11642103, filed 2025-02

“2022 Ford Maverick had water build up under the front passenger seat floor. I'm at 3.5 years of ownership and the dealer is telling me it will cost $1100 to fix because of an improperly installed windshield and cowl issue which ruined the internal filter and air circulation motor. Now i have to pay out of pocket because of a crappy manufacturer defect. I have seen in Maverick forums that this is a common issue and yet we are the ones having to fork out the cash.”

NHTSA complaint #11654046, filed 2025-04

“CV axles make a very concerning, loud noise when driving. Any small bump on the road and it sounds like the front of my truck is going to fall off. When turning, there are loud knocking and clicking sounds coming from the front end, mainly passenger side. Electrical: My radio and head unit restarts randomly, both while driving and when the vehicle is turned off with keys removed from ignition. When it restarts, I hear a popping noise from the speakers, and the screen blacks out.”
