“I was driving and the vehicle stopped like it was in neutral. I started rolling backwards into a vehicle. He honked and I slammed on breaks. I put flashers on. Waited a bit. Turned off and on and it started. I drove home and called service dept”
NHTSA complaint #11724339, filed 2026-03“My reverse camera was having intermittent issues consistent with the recall notice where it would freeze and not show a true representation of what was behind the vehicle while in reverse. I had the recall repair work done by my local dealer for the reverse camera and the problem has not been fully resolved. The framerate on the reverse camera is still inconsistent, and the problem has not been fixed entirely. It does not give me confidence that the screen will not freeze again in the future. …”
NHTSA complaint #11656326, filed 2025-04“After about 10 months after buying this hybrid truck, the 12v battery was not holding a charge. I started to receive emails on my phone from the truck stating it was going into sleep mode and to drive the truck to maintain the charge. I did this for 45 minutes at 60 MPH. It apeared to charge but did not last more than a couple of days. I drove the truck from south carolina to ohio. I was in ohio for 10 days and drove about 750 miles and then back to sc with no problems. However, after 4 weeks, I started getting the same emails. I again drove about 45 minutes at 60 MPH. …”
NHTSA complaint #11714973, filed 2026-02“Upon exiting my garage I always stop to close the door. My driveway has incline. I begin to roll back, hit the breaks several times with no engagement, begin pumping the brake pedal several times, no response. Continued to roll in reverse going across the street and hit neighbor's park car in their driveway. Police Officer noted that brake pedal was very low upon applying brakes and a hiss sound of like a vacuum or pressure lost. Reported a claim to insurance company. I never observed any indication of faults. Had truck toed to Greiner Ford to be inspected and or repaired. …”
NHTSA complaint #11619446, filed 2024-10“Unknown, My 2024 Ford Maverick has now twice got stuck in reverse (shifter indicates it is in reverse) though the dash shows park and I was unable to start the truck after removing my key and waiting a few moments it would act normal and let me start my truck. The last time it happened I was in the dealer lot and told my sales representative but we couldn’t replicate the problem he said next time it happens to record it and see if it becomes a trend that it would be covered under warranty but until it is replicable they could not do anything I don’t know when or why it happens. …”
