“The car is equipped with automatic emergency braking (aeb) which does not work. 2 dealers have found no codes but say they have no way to test on the road. Called Ford and they were no help. Referred me back to the dealer.”

NHTSA complaint #11279109, filed 2019-11, 3,400 miles

“As I was driving on the highway I slowed down due to traffic and I noticed a drastic change in the brake system responsiveness Applying regular pressure to the brakes did not stop the car. A brake system warning message appeared and I had to apply both feet to the brakes to stop the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11514334, filed 2023-03

“I took my car to ford and the guy working hit a curb in there own buisness and they had to replace my two tires and rims and I just don’t trust anything because it took them 2 months to fix it , happened like a year ago”

NHTSA complaint #11761386, filed 2026-09

“I parked my manual car at work. Put the emergency break on and the break disengaged on its own and 15 mins later the car ran into the metal frame of a pick up truck.”

NHTSA complaint #11461774, filed 2022-04

“While driving at normal road speed, the vehicle suddenly displayed multiple warnings at the same time indicating that AdvanceTrac (electronic stability control), traction control, and ABS were disabled, and the vehicle entered a reduced functionality state. These warnings appeared simultaneously without any hard braking, loss of traction, or driver input at the time. The warnings and system faults then cleared in a cascading manner over a short distance, with each system returning one after another while continuing to drive, without shutting off the engine. …”
