“I was driving home from work around 5:05pm on the 5 north freeway going about 65 MPH. All of a sudden my check engine light went on and I felt a sudden loss of power in my acceleration. As I stepped on the gas more to keep up with the flow of traffic, the RPM needle jumped up to between 4 and 6 on my gauge, but my vehicle wasn't going any faster so I had to steer to the right to get to the exit. I was barely able to exit without almost getting rear ended but I had no choice as my vehicle would not go over 40mph. …”

It was returned back to dealer on 6/13/2016 and problem still continues after said problem was fix with silicon in connection. (water damage) how ever with end 10 miles needle all over the place ? Got home and turn the car off and on to cycle and needed reads empty after a full take of gas.?”

NHTSA complaint #10874423, filed 2016-06, 80,522 miles

“Pushing the gas pedal the vehicle revved up and the gears slammed into gear, engine light came on and seems to have no first gear as of now. Seems it may be the wave plate within the transmission.”

NHTSA complaint #10554987, filed 2013-12, 91,271 miles

“Several issues with this new 2007 Gmc Acadia. Most prevalent is the failure of the gas gauge not reading the gas reading correctly. 1st time noticed and taken for service was 3 mo. Old. The gas gauge reads (e) when I've just filled up the tank. Dealer replaced 02 sensors. 1 mo later experience same issue. Gas gauge reads (e) even when tank is full. Taken back to dealer and this time replace (2) o2 sensors and the sending unit . 2 days later, with the gas gauge reading at half full, the car lunges forward into another gear on freeway in traffic, and stalls. …”

NHTSA complaint #10210839, filed 2007-12, 18,057 miles

“The contact owns a 2007 Gmc Acadia. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel would lock and the vehicle would make a grinding noise when making turns. She also stated that the gas gauge fluctuates and does not display the accurate amount of gas left in the vehicle. An inspection was done by the dealer and they advised her that she needed to replace the rubber on the steering column and the gas gauge. The steering repair was completed but not the gas gauge. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.”
