“I also have had issues with the parking brake and ABS. If more people complain maybe there will be action taken. I do have a fuel module recall that I hope is going to be corrected. There are some dealers that do not want to even correct your safety recall. I am having to travel an hour and a half to a dealer out of town because my local dealer does not want to deal with me.”
NHTSA complaint #10344086, filed 2010-07, 77,000 miles“I own a 2001 Gmc Yukon Xl. For the past 6 months... I have had problems with the fuel gauge sensor element. It randomly fails...and registers no fuel in the tank...then within a few seconds....minutes..or perhaps an hour... The fuel gauge will suddenly appear full again... Although after each event.. The accuracy of the gauge measurement seems to get worse. It also seems to happen more when the tank is at or below half full ...”
NHTSA complaint #10074759, filed 2004-06, 49,350 miles“When filling up the fuel tank to the full level an exsesive lickage starts in the front top of the fuel tank for about 1 minute. No deaths yet but any fire under my SUV during the lickage I'm sure it will blow up!”
NHTSA complaint #10088225, filed 2004-08, 44,500 miles“Lost power on highway 10:00 p.m car towed to dealer and was told fuel pump needs to be replaced, $966.00 this is the 2nd time first 2004 gas gauge was not marking levels dealer said blown fuse ? Now this. They will not cover under recall because only module reservoir is in the recall who's to say the module reservoir defect isn't what caused (disabled) the fuel pump. Making it necessary to replace to fuel pump.”
