Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Engine went into reduced engine power (rep) mode and 4 diagnostic troubleshooting codes (DTC's) were set all relating to the throttle activation circuit (tac). When this happens the engine power is shut off immediately and the engine will only idle. This is a known issue with GM and is a potentially extremely dangerous safety issue. The entire tac system ( throttle body, tac module, PCM, wire harnesses/connectors) needs to be investigated.”
