Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I bought my vehicle around May 2024. Initially, everything seemed fine. However, I noticed that my car was starting to slow down and would enter limp mode, preventing me from exceeding a certain mileage. Subsequently, all the lights on my dashboard began flashing, prompting me to pull over and call a mechanic shop. I had all the necessary maintenance and repairs performed as per the plan. After starting the vehicle, all the lights turned off, and it drove smoothly. …”

NHTSA complaint #11736561, filed 2026-05

“Rear seat belt will not click and lock in. With the forward collision warning there was times I was driving on the freeway where there is no vehicle in front of me and Hard brake on me and shows forward collision warning. This happened like 3 or 4 times”

NHTSA complaint #11589412, filed 2024-05

“I have contacted multiple dealers to repair the recall. However, none of the dealers have the parts to repair it and does not know when they will have parts. They asked me to keep checking because they will not be contacting me when the parts are available. I am using my vehicle everyday and I have a passenger present at all times. I do not want to get in an accident and have my passengers in danger for a faulty weight sensor. I need to find a fix for this recall as soon as possible.”

NHTSA complaint #11622296, filed 2024-10

“Front passenger side seat belt does not lock into place. Nothing is obstructing it, we were told it is not covered under the vehicles warranty and have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. Isn’t this a safety hazard?”

NHTSA complaint #11559672, filed 2023-12
