“The srs light has turned on in the instrument panel. Honda is trying to charge me $360 to diagnose the problem when it is obviously air bag/seat belt related. The light remains on during motion and while the engine is at idle. My vehicle is at 117,464 miles. My question is if Honda has the right to charge me to diagnose something that is related to safety equipment.”

When I'm at a complete stop and attempt to proceed through a green light the car seems to not want to get gas. I'm not sure what the problem is. Can someone please help me?”
NHTSA complaint #11052353, filed 2017-12, 146,000 miles“I slowed down at a traffic light and my car was rear ended by another car who failed to apply the brakes and/or may have hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes. The car has been deemed a total loss as the car chassis seems to be crumpled. What I find very surprising is that neither the seat belts tighten nor the air bags were deployed despite being hit so hard. I was wondering what may have been the reason and what needs to be done so that it doesn't happen with anyone else.”

Three days ago I saw the srs (safety restraint system) light come on and stay on in my car. Because the recall is going into bankruptcy I am very concerned about the restraint system. Nothing has happened to the car. It just turned on. I contacted Honda and they say they are not going to address this because I had the recall work done. I can't image why they won't assist with the diagnosis and to determine the cause. I was under the impression that the seatbelt and airbags should last the life of the vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #11047096, filed 2017-11, 153,000 miles“I took my vehicle in for an airbag recall recently and as I was driving back home and stopped at a traffic light the red light srs appeared. It stayed on for a few seconds and went out as I was driving. It did this a couple of times and finally it just stayed on. Since I've had this vehicle I've never had this happen. I called the dealership when I got home and they told me they didn't do anything other than replace the airbag and that it was the seatbelt restraint system. Light is still on now. The only seatbelt that is used is mine as I am the only driver of my vehicle. …”
