“November 2016. Noticed that there was a creeking sound coming from passenger side of the car when driving it. My mechanic told me that sub frame holding the engine has rusted out on the passenger side and that the car is not road worthy. His exact words were the engine could pop out at any time and that he would not drive it .”

“When driving along the highway the traction control light pops on along with the side air bag light. My transmission seems to be going out. When I'm at a complete stop and attempt to proceed through a green light the car seems to not want to get gas. I'm not sure what the problem is. Can someone please help me?”

“Was in an accident on the expressway where a latter flew out of the back of a guys truck and became to a complete stop and I hit him when I couldn't stop fast enough and no air bags deployed. I was berrybruised up and I did go to the hostpital.”

NHTSA complaint #11302956, filed 2020-01, 250,000 miles

“I was changing some unrelated parts on my car when I realized my passenger side sub frame rear beam was almost completely rusted through while the driver side is fine. If this would snap it could pose a significant safety issue in my opinion. After doing some research online realized that this is a major issue with this generation of Accord.”

NHTSA complaint #10639690, filed 2014-09, 227,483 miles

“Sub frame is rotted through on passenger side front adjacent to where the oil drain plug is located. I've been taking my car to the local Honda of mentor dealership for oil changes for years. No mention of this problem when they have completed their safety checks. Most recent oil change was in the last 30 days. The sub frame is not rusting at all on the other side of the vehicle.”
