“I have reported that software cannot be updated on my car. Since my first report my rear seatbelts no longer need to be fastened with children in the car or the seat belt notification of not being fastened does not work. My air conditioner will stop if my infotainment system needs to be adjusted through my phone, and today in the rain my brakes locked up twice. The latter occurrence was coming down 1000 foot downhill in the rain with a car in front and an 18 wheeler behind me”
NHTSA complaint #11528208, filed 2023-06“When I am driving alone, the rear seat belt sign goes on and the alarm starts ringing, as if someone took off their seat belt off. No one in back seat. Was confirmed by dealer on 07/01/24. They performed hard reset. Passenger sat on rear seat behind driver and put on seat belt, the sign showed the middle seat passenger didn't have their seat belt on, there was no one there. The problem started after I took the car for a recall about the seatbelt. 02/07/24, Safety Recall 23-098, seatbelt pretensioner inspection.”

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, smoke started coming from underneath the front driver’s side seat. The contact looked down and became aware that the front driver’s side seat belt anchor had caught fire. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle had been involved in a crash prior to the fire, and the front passenger’s side of the vehicle had crashed into rear left door of another vehicle.
