NHTSA complaint #11688024, filed 2025-09

“I own a 2023 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid. At approximately 42,000 miles, all of the warning lights illuminated while driving. The warnings included Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Parking Collision Warning, and multiple other system alerts. At the same time, I experienced a loss of electric power steering assist, increased steering resistance, and clicking/popping noises coming from the steering rack. …”

“There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the failure. My family was out of town, when the fire occurred. However, the neighbors were home and their home also sustained some damage. My home was a total loss. On June 16, 2026 I received a call while out of town that my home was on fire and it was a total loss. Statements from the neighbors and fire marshal were that the garage was on fire and then spread to the rest of the home. The only thing in the garage that could have started the fire was my Hybrid vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11746370, filed 2026-06

“I will be driving down the road and my vehicle will pop up with the brake message and slam by brakes. It does it randomly. It has put my safety in risk multiple times. It has done this on the interstate and thankfully there was no one behind me. I was going 80mph and it dropped me to 30mph in less then 5 seconds. The issue has not been reproduced since it does it randomly. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership many many times. There were no warning symptoms or anything. It just does it very randomly. …”

NHTSA complaint #11668874, filed 2025-06

“Summary of Incident: For approximately two years, my vehicle has experienced random electrical issues. All dashboard warning lights will flash at random times. When I take the vehicle to the dealership (Bell Honda), the problem disappears before it can be diagnosed. On September 27, 2025, and again on September 28, 2025, the vehicle completely stopped and shut off while I was driving. It would not restart. The hazard lights were stuck on and could not be turned off. This left me stranded and in a dangerous situation. …”
