Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Car has trouble starting. Won't turn over. Just clicks when you turn the key. The car was off and not in motion. It happens several times a day no matter where I'm parked. At first it started happening occasionally. Now it happens every time I start the car. I had a mechanic check it out and can't find out what's wrong but recommended a new starter.”

NHTSA complaint #11326653, filed 2020-05, 60,765 miles

“Takara inflators didn't deploy when my vehicle was involved is a horrible front end accident involving injuries also ad for the electrical system problem my climate control never turns on and I've been back and forth at the Honda dealer service department and they can't seem to find the issue they told me its something to do with electrical”

NHTSA complaint #11186027, filed 2019-03, 14,000 miles

“At about 48,000 miles I started having intermittent no start situations which rendered the car unreliable. If you turn the key nothing happens. But usually after several attempts the car would start and then the problem would not repeat for several subsequent starts. Then it would reappear. I found a mechanic who located the problem requiring a starter replacement. Honda should recall these vehicles.”

NHTSA complaint #11388344, filed 2021-01, 48,250 miles

“I bought a 2015 Honda Accord about 3 months ago with 40,000 miles on it. At 42,000 miles, I was leaving in the morning for work and had to jump my vehicle. It then happened each time that I tried to start my car. The alternator had gone completely out and I had to pay $700 to fix. An alternator should never go out that early in a vehicle at just 42,000 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #11143610, filed 2018-10, 41,998 miles

“My 2015 Accord v6 has a starting problem where the starter will grind several times before the car will start. This happens about every 3 to 5 weeks. The car will eventually start after several attempts. Although this problem does not occur every time, I am concerned I will be stranded.”

NHTSA complaint #11399143, filed 2021-03, 51,000 miles
