“I purchased a new 2023 Honda Accord from Woodland Hills Honda on 1/20/24. On 1/23/24, I pull into my garage after driving home from work and turn off the car. I get out to an overwhelming smell of gasoline. I inspect the car for visible leaks, which I don’t see, but the gasoline fumes kept growing and spreading throughout my garage. Concerned for my safety, I call the fire department. …”

“My car started blinking the Check engine light when I am going 40-50 mph. Got the vehicle scanned and the code showed “misfire cylinder 4” so i replaced the spark plugs and the coil on cylinder 4. Vehicle ran fine for about 3 weeks. Same issue happened again. I did research and found that alot of honda vehicles with the 1.5 turbo has had head gasket issues. I took it to a mechanic and got it diagnosed. There was no coolant when they checked as well as put the camera down cylinder 4 and seen fluids in the cylinder”

NHTSA complaint #11738206, filed 2026-05

“There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the failure. My family was out of town, when the fire occurred. However, the neighbors were home and their home also sustained some damage. My home was a total loss. On June 16, 2026 I received a call while out of town that my home was on fire and it was a total loss. Statements from the neighbors and fire marshal were that the garage was on fire and then spread to the rest of the home. The only thing in the garage that could have started the fire was my Hybrid vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11746370, filed 2026-06

“I went to put windshield washer fluid into my car. When I opened the hood, I saw that the under hood insulation was gone (Burt away). We just had a snow storm and it happen to be heavy wet snow. I always turn on the car from my house (auto start). The heavy snow forced the hood to touch the engine and because it did not have a cover, destoyed the insulation. I went to Honda and showed the service manager the picture. He said I would have to pay to replace the under hood insulation, that does not seem right.”

NHTSA complaint #11632710, filed 2024-12

“The car will completely shut off while in drive and while driving. Not the auto shut off feature as that is off at the time the car shuts off. This has happened multiple times and isn't safe. There is no indication as to when it will happen, but it will randomly shut off after a short drive or long drive. Once I turn the car back on there is nothing that displays on the dashboard to indicate what happened or why or any issues the vehicle has. It's as if the car wasn't on and I'm turning it on for the first time. …”
