“I was getting ready to pull up into a parking space to back into my garage when the car accelerated to a high speed causing me to crash into a brick wall and a neighboring garage. My neck snapped forward after the airbags deployed, I am having back and neck pain after this injury. I am going to need medical assistance.”

“Floor mat doesn't stay in place and gets caught up in the accelerator, brake and clutch pedals. Also, my Civic is blue (original paint) and as I've seen with many other 1992-1995 Honda civics with this color, the paint is literally gone from the hood and roof. I don't know what kind of cheap material was used, but it's terrible!”

NHTSA complaint #10202419, filed 2007-09, 85,000 miles

“Honda Civic 1995 4 door. Involved in a passenger side impact estimated at 45mph by the police. This impact resulted in braking the frame, bending the roof double, and otherwise total destruction of the car. This crash killed my mother. I want to know if there is anyone out there that would know information about the safety of this vehicle. I would like to prove that an excessive speed was involved by the other party, and need any help anyone can give. Please if anyone knows anything that could help me, let me know. Thank you for any help you can give.”

NHTSA complaint #10025752, filed 2003-07

“1995 Honda just purchased used. After purchase, noticed broken welds on body (both sides of vehicle) where doors attach to vehicle body. Went to Honda service, but service tech had no answer, was no assistance. Also asked about 5/1999 tech bulletin from amer. Honda to install airbag switch (child rides in front of car) - service tech said not aware of bulletin, did not offer assistance. Asked service tech why oil dipstick prematurely rusting-off, on top (every del-sol I've seen has this problem... …”
