“Other driver slammed into rear of my car at about 30 MPH. I recall going forward inside my car but it seems seat belt did not tighten. Turns out my driver's seat frame was broken in the accident and my best guess is entire driver's seat was going forward. Don't know if this is usual or not. I've not heard of it. Also, would like to know whether the fact that the entire driver's seat was moving forward is reason seat belt did not tighten.”

NHTSA complaint #10559404, filed 2014-01, 35,000 miles

“Takata recall. Got notification last week that my car was recalled for passenger airbag possibly exploding. Called dealer. Dealer said they don't have parts. Haven't had parts for months and don't even know for sure if they'll get parts when Honda says they will in two months. Can explode at any time, even when not in crash. This is really unacceptable. So I'm not allowed to carry passengers until god knows when? You need to get on Honda and fine them until they make this right for everyone. Stalling and delaying on such serious repairs is not safe for anyone. …”

NHTSA complaint #10889083, filed 2016-07, 85,000 miles

“When rains, water leaks into interior. Both back seats get wet & in a truck gets puddles of water. The wiring gets wet, which is dangerous because of safety issues. Please, let me know how to fix it. We have this issue since 2013, the car was purchased. The car was certified but dealerships rejected to fix it.”

NHTSA complaint #11163781, filed 2018-12

“The drivers seat is extremely uncomfortable. It causes pain while driving causing an unsuccessful attempt to find a position that is not agonizing. After driving for a short length of time I have severe lower back pain that interferes with my activity.”

NHTSA complaint #10817123, filed 2015-12

“I am writing to complain about the headrests in my car. I purchased a 2010 Honda Civic lx-s a week and a half ago. After driving it for about an hour, I noticed by neck and shoulders bothering me. My head is being forced downward by the headrests. This occurs in all headrest positions, but is worse when adjusted right behind my head. I have tilted the seat back as far as I safely can and still be able to drive. I am 53 year old female, 5'3 tall, and wear bifocals. …”
