“Twice today while I was driving my crv, I let up on the gas and the car continued to accelerate. I noticed that the engine RPM dial continued to climb up. Once I tapped the brakes the car stopped accelerating. The first time I thought maybe it was just a fluke but it did the same thing later in the day.”

NHTSA complaint #10615449, filed 2014-07, 115,000 miles

“Vehicle stability or vsa sight and ABS light came on at the same time. Honda dealer advised me that the repair would cost me $2337 dollars to repair. I would think that a recall would be in order for this safety related and stability related problem!”

NHTSA complaint #10694366, filed 2015-03, 94,928 miles

“The accelerator on my 2006 Honda crv has gotten stuck twice in the last week while driving on the highway. I checked for floor obstructions. None were present. I finally put it in neutral and coasted to a stop, and turned off the car. When I turned it back on, it seemed to run fine. The occurrences were 2 days apart.”

NHTSA complaint #10290145, filed 2009-10, 67,600 miles

“Driving along a 4 lane road at 25-30 MPH when suddenly car accelerated out of control. Though I stomped on brakes, my car smashed into the car in front of me. The air bags did not deploy and I received severe whiplash. The car sustained more than $12,000 damage. Honda refuses to admit the car had a problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10167955, filed 2006-09, 26,007 miles

“After starting the car I put my foot on the brake pedal, took off the emergency brake, and put the car into drive. My foot was still on the brake, but the car took off at a high speed as if I had floored the gas pedal, and would not stop with my foot still on the brake pedal. I threw the gear into park and turned off the ignition. This same thing happened to me in september 2009 while I was driving on the long island expressway. At that time the brake would not stop the car, so I put the car in neutral and pulled off the road, put the car in park and turned off the ignition. …”
