“Takata recall...I keep getting recall notices but we traded the car in about 6 years ago. We don?t know where it is. We have called Honda and gone to the new york state dmv and they can?t remove our name from the list. It is no longer in our possession. Please remove our name from the list. Thank you,”

NHTSA complaint #11122475, filed 2018-08, 90,000 miles

“After making an appointment with voyles Honda in marietta, ga for dec. 13, 2014 to have the recalled airbags changed, the dealership then informed me after service began that the front passenger-side airbag was not in stock. Since then, I have not been able to get the passenger-side airbag changed. The dealership would not provide any information as to when it will be in stock. It's been 2 1/2 months, and I cannot have any passengers in the front, which is a hardship.”

NHTSA complaint #10691835, filed 2015-03, 90,000 miles

“My complaint is against Honda re their recall practices/dealer knowledge: according to the Honda website, my vehicle airbag is to be inspected and replaced. I attempted to schedule this service at two dealers in albuquerque, nm (perfection Honda and garcia Honda. I was told it would take 2 visits - one to inspect and one to replace part if needed. Yesterday I took my vehicle to garcia Honda - their 'mechanic/oil changer' broke the head off the 'breakaway screw' while undoing it. …”

“Takata recall. I took my Honda crv to the dealership last week to have the airbags replaced due to the recall. Now my air conditioning went out. I took it back to the dealership to have them fix the issue, but they told me the problem was unrelated. They said the compressor locked up. I have never had any issues with the air conditioning until after I took it in. Too coincidental. After doing some online research it apears many other people have had the same problem in which Honda does not cover the cost. People are paying roughly $1000 to replace their compressors. …”

NHTSA complaint #11128260, filed 2018-09, 150,000 miles

“Driving along a 4 lane road at 25-30 MPH when suddenly car accelerated out of control. Though I stomped on brakes, my car smashed into the car in front of me. The air bags did not deploy and I received severe whiplash. The car sustained more than $12,000 damage. Honda refuses to admit the car had a problem.”
