“The vsa and check engine light will frequently come on and then if I take the vehicle over 2500 rpms I will lose power and the engine will stutter. This happens in anytime the vehicle is in motion, whether it's city streets or highway”
NHTSA complaint #11360879, filed 2020-09, 120,000 miles“Car begins to accelerate when in park or when my foot is not on the accelerator. Car also reads several codes relating to vsa, vtec, etc however when I bring it to get checked, new codes pop up relating to similar issues.”
NHTSA complaint #11181171, filed 2019-02, 188,033 miles“I incorrectly put the car into drive 1. I noticed my mistake and changed the transmission to drive. The car's computer put the vehicle in full throttle. I braked and put the transmission into neutral and the RPM gauge showed the car to be in full throttle. I had to turn off the vehicle and everything was ok after this incident. I am 100% sure that the computer on this vehicle has some problems.”
NHTSA complaint #10496959, filed 2013-02, 68,000 miles“Vsa module failed along with the ABS. Called Honda USA and they admitted that it was a safety issue but did not care and hung up on me. Dealer charged $2400 to fix. Car had only 88,000 miles. We were told we could keep driving the car.”
NHTSA complaint #10940342, filed 2017-01, 88,000 miles“Abs and vsa lights came on. Took the vehicle to dealer and was told the ABS modulator needed replacing. My cost would be $2450.00. Since this component controls brakes and stability it seems to me to be a safety issue and therefore subject to a recall.”
