“The driver side sun visor swung down from the headliner while I was driving on the freeway a few months ago. Fortunately, I was driving straight on the 210 freeway. Ever since the incident, it would not stay up against the headliner.”

NHTSA complaint #10823856, filed 2016-02, 65,000 miles

“The AC clutch compressor is out. This is affecting my health . I have researched this and apparently from 2002-2009 this is a common problem because of Honda placement of compressor and heat from engine. I have an 2003 with the same problem.. With the 2006 and its dark interior I cannot drive the vehicle without opening windows and this is not safe for many reasons. Pls read following clip I saved from google: 2002 - 2008 Honda crv air condition problems - recall for ... …”

NHTSA complaint #10780814, filed 2015-10, 120,000 miles

“I was driving and all of the sudden the car starting acting strange - acceleration was very weak, steering was heavy, and when I was stopped car would nearly stall. Engine light came on, which was alarming. I took car into Honda dealer and after doing some research they said I needed a software update due to a glitch in the initial software and charged me $224 which I was not happy to pay. This is clearly a defect in their car software since I didn't do anything that would have affected their car software. …”

NHTSA complaint #11025303, filed 2017-09, 104,474 miles

“The sunroof glass suddenly exploded while I was travelling south on i684 in westchester county ny. Fortunately, the sun shade was closed, and we were protected from the shattering glass.”

NHTSA complaint #10721875, filed 2015-05, 143,000 miles

“Sudden failure (warning lights) of ABS and vsa systems. Non resettable, these systems are non functional. 2006 Honda crv less than a year out of warranty and only 20088 miles. Honda diagnosed and declared a new vsa control valve needed. Code 66-1. Repair estimate $2064. There are many more cases exactly the same on the internet. This is a safety problem and should have a recall if failure is so soon in the car's life and so expensive.”
