“Driving in mild foggy conditions, going 44 mph. My CRV dash had the BRAKE warning flashing and locked up my brakes. There was nothing in front of me do cause this. There was a car behind me that could of hit me. Everything in my car flew off the seats and it jarred my neck and back. My lowered back has been hurting and I am seriously concerned for my safety in this vehcle.”
NHTSA complaint #11695010, filed 2025-10“Unknown- I did receive a letter appears to be from Honda Automobile Division stating a EPS Gearbox Replacement. NHTSA website didn't have any recalls for my 2022 Honda CR-V. Honda dealership didn't appear knowledgeable with the recall and said they haven't had anyone else come in for the repair. Is it a legitimate recall?”
NHTSA complaint #11494198, filed 2022-11“Sometimes when driving the automatic brakes will turn on and the car will suddenly brake hard. This has happened a few times now. I had a few close calls with drivers almost rear ending me because of this. This seems to happen randomly as it always happens in different areas. There were a few times there was nobody else on the road other than me and the automatic brakes would kick in. I put in the date of the last time this occurred to me. This is a reoccurring issue that compromises my safety.”
NHTSA complaint #11766610, filed 2026-09“My Body Control Module failed and has been confirmed by the dealer. They are replacing it this morning. It’s been failing for close to a year I didn’t realize. It would set off the tire pressure monitor, caused the battery to die and turn on the brights. 3 days ago the alarm kept going off and turning the dashboard on. When I drove it to the dealer, multiple electronic systems were not working correctly. For a - barely- 3 year old car this isn’t a component that should be going bad!”
NHTSA complaint #11584645, filed 2024-04“The sunroof exploded as I was driving. There were no cars around me. Glass blew outward and I was concerned about any cars that would follow. I took photos and then took the car into my Honda dealer. They claim a rock hit it. I know that could not have happened. The car is only 6 months old. There was no warning before it happened. If I had the sunroof open, glass could have affected me and/or my passenger. My insurance agent has also seen the photos. The sunroof is being replaced today, a month after it exploded. …”
