“Car went into limp mode while we were driving on the turnpike on a hill at 70 MPH. Speed dropped to 30 MPH in an area with a construction zone so there was little room to pull to the side of the road safely. We were lucky to be in the right lane so made it to the side next to the construction barrels.”

NHTSA complaint #11749247, filed 2026-07

“Two incidents where the Engine suddenly shut off. Incident 1 (August 4th): We had come to a complete stop at a traffic light. After a few seconds the engine shut off (we had Auto Start/Stop disabled), the dash and radio briefly stopped and then the dashboard's indicator lights lid up as they would before a car is started. We put the gear shift into Park and restarted the car. It started right away and we had no issues for 1 week. …”

NHTSA complaint #11607892, filed 2024-08

“While driving my 2022 Honda CRV at highway speeds and at operating temperature, the steering sticks and/or pauses then releases causing the steering to jerk back in the opposite direction. This creates a major safety issue while driving on the highway and can potentially cause an accident. Additionally, when turning the vehicle left at slow speeds, we would periodically hear a clicking noise. These problems began at the beginning of 2024 and have progressively gotten worse. …”

NHTSA complaint #11741953, filed 2026-06

“When car was at 44,000 miles, check engine light repeatedly went on, and Honda dealership determined the car needed adjusted valve job. Car rode rough, and I was worried it would cut out on drive. Now that car is at 77,000 miles, check engine light came on with the exact same problem (misfire on cylinder 1). Car rode rough, and I was worried it would cut out on the drive to the dealership, but they said they couldn't diagnose the issue unless the light was actively on. I feel like this is a defect with this car model.”

NHTSA complaint #11734338, filed 2026-04

“The above would not let me check ALL of the boxes. I’m having continued problems with my 2022 Honda CRV Hybrid Touring, with every warning light on the car all of a sudden starts flashing and eventually the car looses complete power. This is the third time it has happened to me, and after taking it to two different Honda dealerships, no one can tell me what is going on, and then they send me back out on the road, only for it to happen again. Every warning light on the car lights up and every bell goes off. Yet, no one can tell me a thing! …”
