“The main screen inside the cab started beeping, then the screen went dark and then to full brightness and started scrolling through the menu options without me touching the screen. This was a bad distraction while I was driving. The screen controls everything and when it did this I had no control and lost everything. It continued doing this for about 10 minutes.”
NHTSA complaint #11323122, filed 2020-05, 22,000 miles“Gear shift button (you depress this to shift gears) popped off, no warning, for no reason. I was shifting into reverse, when I released the button, it flew off. I had to keep my foot on the brake to find the button and stick it back in. It is now loose and will not stay on/in. This could be very dangerous if a car is moving and it pops off...”
NHTSA complaint #11193674, filed 2019-04, 25,000 miles“Shift knob button popped out yesterday, saturday 9/28/19, while in stationary position shifting from park to drive. Had to keep my foot on the brake until I could locate the spring that popped out. Will have to carefully hold the button in place to shift and make sure it doesn't fall out while in motion until I can get to dealer to fix first thing monday.”
NHTSA complaint #11258875, filed 2019-09, 32,979 miles“As I was driving back home from showcase Honda after having shift level knob, AC hepa filter and cabin hepa filter replaced. I was driving on a city street, when my cabin got full of a very cloudy, followed with a bad smell that made me rolled down the windows and pulled immediately to the nearest street because I was so scare not been able to see anything.”
NHTSA complaint #11173600, filed 2019-02, 40 miles“The button on our shifter stuck inside the shifter itself and we were unable to turn the car completely off...ran the battery down and needed to jump start the car. Had to use a screwdriver to get the button out again. Checked to see if my car was in a recall and nothing was showing. How is this possible? Many other Honda crv owners are having this exact problem. It's not safe”
