“Navigation system malfunction. On approximately 8/16 or 8/17/2017, the clock displayed on the navigation screen became stuck at 0:00 . I'm not sure whether this affects the actual navigation function, GPS system, or other electrical (or non-electrical) components. I believe the dvd-based navigation system hardware and software was manufactured by alpine for Honda (and many other auto manufacturers). I have updated my map/software dvd twice since I purchased the car in 2002. …”
NHTSA complaint #11021264, filed 2017-09, 180,000 miles“A couple weeks ago as me and my 2 toddler sons were going down the road. The vehicle had what seemed a power surge and taillights went out and power went low radio stopped and doors unlocked. Luckily we were close to home I got new fuse for lights radio said error but music didn't matter the next day I had to jump it to got work but seemed ok. The next few weeks I dealt with doors locking and unlocking. And one morning came out both doors were open.I didn't let boys ride after problems escalated one day doors stopped and got stuck in middle when they were getting out. …”
NHTSA complaint #11321011, filed 2020-04, 160,000 miles“Recently, while driving my car on the freeway my car decideds to shut off which is scary and has happended more than once and not having the speed of control of trying to get over when you are in the fast lane. This has happened numerous of times. My main concern is how many other people have this happened to before. This is very dangerous and a serious situation because you don't know if the car behind you will slow down. I always end up pressing my emergency light right away, hoping the other drivers are paying attention because I am driving with my children in the vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #10822061, filed 2016-01, 176,008 miles“While driving the vehicle normally, we noticed all of the dashboard idiot lights coming on intermittently when we would make a turn or decelerate. Finally they came on and stayed on and the air conditioning stopped working. We took the van to our trusted mechanic and he found a broken alternator bracket. He welded it and sent us on our way. Two weeks later, the same problem happened. He then installed a new alternator bracket. About 10 days later, the same problem occurred and he found the new bracket had also broken. …”
NHTSA complaint #10468423, filed 2012-07, 83,000 miles“When we are going uphill from full stopped it seems the transmission is not picking up and it sounds like slippage of the gear. Then the yellow check engine indicator lights up and when we got home I grabbed my code reader and says p0730 incorrect gear ratio and p0505 idle. There is no crash but almost because the car behind us are really fast going uphill and because im not pressing the brake so most likely he didn't see that were are not moving with the current flow of traffic plus it happened at night at around 11:05 pm after I dropped off my wife to work. …”
