“2010 Odyssey w/ about 70k miles. Engine started misfiring. There was a recall on this, but Honda is saying it expired, and I am not eligible for cost coverage, and the repairs only have a 50% chance of fixing the issue. I bought the car used in 2019, and they say the recall expired 8 years after make year. I was driving my family to the beach and it began struggling to accelerate. White smoke was coming out exhaust.”

“Van will start periodically. But the next day the battery will be dead & has been jumped off with jump box & other vehicles assist. But battery is new, terminals cleaned. Van will not even make a clicking sound. I feel that there is evidence of faulty ignition switch, starter relay or parked/neutral safety switch & maybe more depending on chassis electrical. The vehicle is also stationary until the next morning.this happens to be my wife's vehicle... Need this fixed asap..”

NHTSA complaint #11282881, filed 2019-11, 142,000 miles

“Radiator fan running and alarm going off without key in ignition. Rear driver side window going down on it's own when car is on. To get window up I have to open driver's door and roll window up and lock it for it to stay up. Have to keep driver's seatbelt on all the time to prevent alarm to go off. Went dealer and they charge a lot of money and could not find problem and needed more time to figure it out in which I would be billed a whole lot more. I refused to pay more . Very frustrated and fed up with the problems on this car.”

NHTSA complaint #11319322, filed 2020-03, 94,000 miles

“In the end of august the power windows stopped working in our Odyssey. When I dropped the car off at the dealer to fix the windows, the alarm system did not recognize the keys and went off every time the dealer tried to open the door. I brought in my wife's set of keys to see if that would resolve the issue but it did not. The car no longer recognizes either key or key fob and triggers the alarm whenever I unlock and open the doors. …”
