“The vehicle has major leak from the firewall down to the floor compartment. Water gets in both tail lights when it is raining. I took it to the Honda dealer twice and they never fixed the problem. Honda refused any of these problems. I willl never buy a Honda ever again. This is my third Honda and last too.”
NHTSA complaint #11175792, filed 2019-02, 15,000 miles“Pivot bolt on the auto-tensioner broke twice. The first time the pivot bolt broke was after I had the alternator replaced and I was driving down the highway to take children to school in subzero winter conditions. I barely made it home as my van was running only on the battery. If I had stalled along the road, me and my children were at risk of hypothermia or possibly death due to frigid -40 cold weather. I then had a new tensioner pulley bracket installed and after driving down the highway and the pivot bolt broke off completely again. …”
NHTSA complaint #11180250, filed 2019-02, 103,700 miles“Stopped in a service road around a parking lot waiting for cross traffic to clear. Foot was on brake. Vehicle engine began racing. Pressed harder on brake to hold vehicle back to prevent hitting car in front of me. Put vehicle in neutral to stop from going forward. Turned off ignition switch. Started vehicle and problem went away. I operate the brake and gas only with my right foot. I cannot press the gas while my right foot is on the brake. This van experienced sudden acceleration. Day was sunny and about 65f.”
NHTSA complaint #10861149, filed 2016-04, 81,000 miles“This vehicle speed from 50 to 70 miles if take brake the car vibrate, that start from around 30,000 miles. After fixed it, about 5,000 miles, vibrate again. Now the total mileage is 79,300, already fixed 3 times. I found Honda all car model has the same issue (all my friends' different Honda car models) . Another problem is when drive feeling a strong vibration in steering wheel when acceleration feeling from this april 2017. Last week just fixed it, dealer changed both side of driveshaft assy-. Car dealer talked to me manufacture used the bad parts may from 2008 to 2012.”
NHTSA complaint #10971103, filed 2017-04, 79,000 miles“Back in jun 2013, I noticed passenger side tail light (reverse gear light box) was full of water after rain. Approx mileage was 28,000. I had it replaced within a month because it might cause serious electronic circuit issues. Now 2 years after in july 2015, I see another side which is driver side tail light is being filled with water after each rain. The mileage on the car is now 35,800. I believe parts on right side and left side both were faulty and failed within 35,000 miles and 5 years. Per technician, this may cause serious electric circuit issues.”
