2007 Honda Odyssey Seat belts Problems

“I received a recall notice relating to faulty vsa system in Honda odysseys. My vehicle was totalled as a result of a single driver accident that occured on ct-15 merrit parkway in january 2011. It snowed that day in connecticut although there was no visible snow on the highway when this happened and at a particular turn, the vehicle skidded (no break was applied), and after trying to control through turning the steering hit the road divider barricades facing forward and then sideways resulting into damage to radiator system and activating all air bags. …”

“Honda Odyssey 2007 driver seat belt stopped working, dealer at first wanted to send me home without seat belt, after I refused to drive the car , they gave me a rent a car for repairs. Also brake system not working properly , multiple previous mentions to the dealer that breaks are soft, they told me it was not any thing bad and nothing they can do also steering pump problems went bad at 34,000 ,miles and they said it will cost 700 dollars to fix , steering very hard and not safe, unable to steer quickly and avoid objects on the road.”

“My daughter & her friend were in an auto accident. The friend was in the passenger seat. Upon impact, the seat belt mechanism apparently broke and did not keep the passenger from being thrust forward & having impact with the vehicle resulting in a concussion.”

“This seat belt is 3rd row drivers side. Until 2 years ago this belt was used less than once a year. With the addition of a third grand child it was necessary to use the third row seating, using the drivers side seat. The 7 year old sat there about 3 times a month an hour each time for 1 year. With no booster seat. A year ago we put the 4 year old in that seat as she only needed a booster seat and was quite capable of buckling herself in. The amount of usage did not change. …”

“Seat belt malfunction, 2007 Honda Odyssey, far back passenger seat belt locked up around child in a twisted manner slowly crushing the passenger. Seat belt could not be loosened. Child and parent tried to retract seat belt by raising child only resulting in tighter seatbelt and the suspension of child in seatbelt. Visual - child head is at head rest level and waist of child about 6-7 inches from top of seatbelt retraction unit. Child is in a back arch trying to keep legs touching seat to relive pressure from strap. …”
