“When turning, accelerating and/or decelerating I hear a clicking sound coming from the rear of my car. My initial determination is the infamous cv joint/axle clicking sound. I have a service scheduled with dealer in a couple of days (5/6/26) to review. I did not receive any error or warning messages. The problem started yesterday (5/3/26).”

Once brought up to Honda we were made aware that they know about the issue but my vehicle didn’t fall as necessary to fix…..yet and they are hoping for a recall in order to address my issue. Till then I’m supposed to drive around with a potentially broken axel with my children.”

I took it Honda dealership twice and was told it doesn’t interfere with the driving then they wouldn’t fix it. They will investigate it further. It has been a year and the dealer or the manufacturer hasn’t said anything else.”

I notice it everyday when leaving my driveway. I've done research on this issue and found that many Prologue owners in private forums have experienced similar issues and it was diagnosed as faulty axles.”
NHTSA complaint #11648446, filed 2025-03“Anytime I turn the steering wheel to the left, there is a really loud clanking noise coming from the front left tire. It gets really loud when the car is cold, and only slightly improve when the car is warmed up. I worry that there is a problem with the axle that can be a safety issue. While I am just reporting this today, it has been going on for at least 12 months.”
