“Was stopped at a traffic light and idle-stop had engaged. Released brake and vehicle failed to restart. Multiple attempts to restart before it actually started. Many dash indicators were lit, but I was too frantic to notice which. Was in heavy traffic and it was very unsettling. Only time this has happened, but I feel like it will repeat. Have not been to dealer, but I will.”

NHTSA complaint #11558669, filed 2023-12

“The wireless charging pad does not work, no matter what position the phone is. I have tried with the case off, so that's not the issue. And I've also tried multiple phones. It pretends to power on and start charging but then it stops in less than a minute, even WITHOUT driving the car....so the phone has no chance to move.”

NHTSA complaint #11448094, filed 2022-01

“The wireless charging pad does not work properly. I’ve tested with 3 different Apple iPhones and they will start to charge for a few seconds, then it will stop changing. Sometimes it will resume charging for a few seconds and then stop again. I’ve seen videos online of others who are experiencing the same issue with both 2021 and 2022 Honda vehicles (issue not exclusive to the Ridgeline).”

NHTSA complaint #11463748, filed 2022-05

“The heated steering wheel over heated causing the leather on the steering wheel to bubble up on the right hand side. The steering wheel got so hot when I was driving I could not hold it. I had to pull over and let the steering wheel cool off. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to it over heating. This happen Nov. 2022. The dealer said I need a new steering wheel. It is May 2023 and I am still waiting on a new steering wheel.”

NHTSA complaint #11521617, filed 2023-05

“Frank Fletceher would not safety recall or warranty inspect my honda bc I didn't buy from them. I need a PGM-FI idle stop sw update & tailgate wire harness inspection.”
