“Vehicle won't start. The passlock prevents the vehicle from starting. The car alarm will start while I'm outside the vehicle and then the vehicle won't start. I replaced the battery but the passlock still makes the alarm go off while its locked in the driveway.”
NHTSA complaint #11005946, filed 2017-07, 101,600 miles“On 3/13/2020 my wife was driving our 2007 Hummer H3 when the engine compartment and dash area caught on fire. The blower motor connector module had been replaced recently as part of a safety recall. The vehicle was in motion and she had just made a left turn. Although the part had been replaced, I still believe that this recall issue was the cause of said fire. The fire department called it an electrical issue. There was no warning at all. This was traumatic for my wife she had to jump out of the vehicle and had a miscarriage.”
NHTSA complaint #11391170, filed 2021-02, 110,000 miles“Was driving in a small town and the vehicle just lost all power with no warning. It cost me over 600.00 to get repaired and I'm thankful I was not on the highway going 60 or 70 and I'm thankful there was no vehicles behind me. Also the key won't come out of the ignition after I drive it for a while and this wears down my battery and I have to get a jump. Has there been any recalls or other complaints about these problems.”
NHTSA complaint #10626448, filed 2014-08, 119,400 miles“The HVAC blower motor resistor connector located under the glove box was burnt, the red plastic on the harness was melted. The reason I became aware of this is because the blower quit working. I looked this up online and found it is a common issue. I feel anytime you have the potential for a fire there should be a recall. I feel it is fair to assume the new resistor and wiring harness will do the same thing since it is the exact same design.”
NHTSA complaint #10683676, filed 2015-02, 70,000 miles“I don't know why I have to wait 10 min.before the truck will start this is crazy and no one wants to fix the issue.I have had it to 2 different dealers and they say its all the Hummer h3s that this problem is in the computer and will cost me over $800 to fix thats crazy this should be put for recall not good business I have children that if theres an emergancy my Hummer wont start. Really GM get it together this happenes all the time and half the time I have to wait 20 to 30 min for it to start”
