“Our 2007 H3 had cracked radiator with hose leaking coolant causing the overheating. We have never driven the vehicle off-roading and no warning light was displayed for this issue. Instead, we brought it in for a different issue with the fuel line and discovered the cracked radiator, which could have caused a bigger problem if it had gone undiscovered for longer period of time.”

“Sir/ma'am, I am writing to complain about the 2007 Hummer H3 security system not allowing the vehicle to start under certain conditions. I maintain my vehicle to high standards and over the last 8 months have had issues starting my Hummer. When the Hummer does not start, you must wait 10-15 minutes to even attempt to restart. The vehicle will turn over, but no fuel is sent to the engine to start. If it doesn't start again, you must wait another 10-15 minutes. The latter has happened to me 5 or 6 times in just the last 2 months. …”

NHTSA complaint #11102929, filed 2018-06, 105,000 miles

“Just had my Hummer in 2 weeks ago at the GM dealership to have the ignition switch replaced. Had been dealing with it stranding me and my kids for 10 minute periods long enough. ( sometimes longer) while it was in there we also had to get the radiator replaced due to it being cracked. Now 2 weeks later my check engine light and traction light have come on. The traction light saying service sab system. After reading all the Hummer problems I can not believe that there was not a recall on both the ignition switch and radiator. …”

NHTSA complaint #10642002, filed 2014-10, 60,000 miles

“I am the original owner of a 2007 general motors Hummer H3. The auto has been well maintained and professionally serviced by a GM dealership. The vehicle has 53,600 miles and is in perfect mechanical condition except this recent issue with passlock security which has rendered the vehicle unreliable and a personal and public safety hazard. The vehicle is less than 30 days out of warranty and dealer will not repair under warranty. In recent weeks, the passlock security light began randomly illuminating while driving. …”

NHTSA complaint #10469089, filed 2012-08, 53,600 miles

“I bought my 2007 hummerh3 used w/124,000 miles. I've had it a month and already had it in mechanic shop due to not starting. The mechanic thought it was a fuel relay and charged me 258.00 parts/labor/tow. Today 11-16-21, only a day after I got it back, it stopped on me again!! Just had it towed again. Just learning that this is a common problem! Is anything being done to rectify this problem?”
