Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“When traveling at a modest rate of speed, if I apply the brakes going over any slightly uneven terrain the ABS triggers randomly and makes braking really difficult. It takes longer to stop and much harder pressure. I have reported this issue to the dealer but per usual they cannot duplicate , however it happens very often and my dash cam has caught it.”

NHTSA complaint #11573986, filed 2024-02

“Acceleration hesitation on numerous occasions. Seat belt recall, unresolved. Waiting for parts for over two months. Also waiting for dealership availability and also, I need an available loaner car. I have to drive my child around frequently for personal reasons. I use my third row and there's no remedy for the third row safety recall. The second row seat belts are constantly being stuck and inoperable.”

NHTSA complaint #11728213, filed 2026-03

“Driving with adaptive cruise control engaged in 45mph zone. Without intervention the cruise setting jumped to 90mph. I was able to press the pause bar to cancel it. Next I was able to re engage cruise normally without a repeat issue. There's been no outside inspection, or assessment. So far it's happened only once. The runaway speed was controllable. We're driving with extra care.”

NHTSA complaint #11618360, filed 2024-10

“ABS kicks on while going slowly over uneven, bumpy roads, or train tracks. The entire car vibrates and I cannot stop the vehicle even when hitting the brake as hard as possible. The car continues forward for a few seconds after causing me to nearly rear-end other vehicles stopped at a red light.”

NHTSA complaint #11666115, filed 2025-06

“While in reverse the car is not alerting us to cars or people approaching or objects directly in kur path.I actually hit small fire hydrant that I could not see while backing up. I'm worried because I have young children and a busy street at time I would be devastated if I accidentally hit a person especially a child.”
