“*ABS, yes available for inspection, you can completely examine my car *ABS kicked in without need, hard braking would not work, car pulsed into intersection *No *No *No Thousands are experiencing this involuntary ABS implementation and Hyundai is aware. Today my 2024 and a new 2025 were in the Dealership with the very same problem. My first instance occurred in July 2024”
NHTSA complaint #11679408, filed 2025-08“While approaching a stop sign we hit a small crack in the roadway while applying the brakes. The brake pedal started pulsing and the vehicle would not stop. Luckily there were no cars approaching because we rolled thru the stop sign. This is the second time in a month this has happened. Apparently the manufacturer is aware of the issue but have not seen any type of recall.”
NHTSA complaint #11681307, filed 2025-08“While driving and slowing down at a stop light the car started to trigger the anti lock brakes. The car was shaking and it would not stop. I put the car in park right before hitting the car in front of me. It was a sunny day with no poor road conditions. The road was a little bumpy but not anything extreme.”
NHTSA complaint #11687169, filed 2025-09“When driving at slow rate of speed, the Check Forward Safety System and Check Side Safety System' lights will come on spontaneously and will turn off after a few moments and/or if I shut the vehicle off and turn it back on. This happened another time when I was parked in the vehicle where the lights came on spontaneously.”
NHTSA complaint #11608738, filed 2024-08“The vehicle brakes malfunctioned while driving over bumpy pavement in a parking lot. There was a loss of ability to stop the vehicle, the breaks seemed locked or ineffective. This cause me to come close to rear ending the vehicle in front of me. My foot was pushed FIRMLY on the break and the vehicle seemed to continue to lurch forward. The collision warning alarm was sounding and the brake pedal was vibrating.”
