“My car makes a clunking noise in the rear (rear differential) while starting/ stopping at slow speeds or turning a corner. No warning lights but it seems to be worse. Dealership has replaced shock absorber assembly and said it corrected it. It did not. I have called the dealership again for them to tell me my car needed a system update.”

NHTSA complaint #11763460, filed 2026-09

“The vehicle has two open safety recalls. Recall 26V034000 – the vehicle does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 226 for ejection mitigation. There is currently no remedy available. Recall 25V607000 – seat belt buckle may not latch properly, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. The vehicle also had a powertrain fault that triggered the check engine light and it has been at the dealership for more than 30 days for I am concerned about the safety of my famil”

NHTSA complaint #11720205, filed 2026-02

“at low speeds on bumpy surfaces the entire front end, (brakes and suspension), sometimes shakes heavily when brakes are applied. Shaking is so severe that brakes have to be released then reapplied. When dealer was advised during a normal service the advisers claimed to have no knowledge of the issue. I had advised before visiting for the service however no action was taken by them. I shall visit another Hyundai dealer in the immediate future to attempt a resolution.”

NHTSA complaint #11694191, filed 2025-10

“I am unsure what exact component malfunctioned but in 5 separate times within the past 2 months, the vehicle has failed to stop at a normal time when pressing the brakes and a loud rumbling occurs. It feels as if I am sliding on ice.Two of the times it occurred on uneven road surfaces, however 3 times I could not identify an issue with the road. They all occured when coming to a stoplight/stop sign or when I had to stop due to a vehicle slowing down or stopping in front of me. In each occurrence I was going under 20 mph. …”

NHTSA complaint #11690440, filed 2025-09

“I came to a complete stop at the stop sign and waited for several vehicles to pass on the street I needed to turn onto. I proceed to turn right but the vehicle stalled mid turn. The motor rev'd as I pressed the gas and made weird noises like the truck was stuck in neutral although it was in drive. The tires would not spin to propel me forward. I was stuck in the middle of the street. I shut the truck down for about a minute while flagging others to go around me then started the truck up again. The issue cleared. This has happened several times. …”
