“When driving on a highway and wanting to pass a car in front of me at around 70 mph, I depress the accelerate pedal, and the car suddenly lost the power and decrease the speed. I quickly floored the pedal, but nothing happened, nor did the tachometer revs up. Have to pull over on the shoulder and shift from Drive to Park, and from Park to Drive again, the problem solved. There were no warning light or error messages showed during the whole process. Almost got rear ended by the car behind me.”

NHTSA complaint #11503855, filed 2023-01

“While I was driving the vehicle late last year (2022) I pulled out of the parking lot of my office and my vehicle did not accelerate even though I was pressing the gas pedal. I pulled over, turned off the car, restarted the car, and everything was normal again. This morning (8/15/23) as my wife was driving my son to school, the car did the same thing and the vehicle did not accelerate even though the gas pedal was pressed and the RPM's were registering but there was no drive power. She had to pull over and restart the car as well.”
