During the incident the contact had brake failure and the air bags failed to deploy. There was frontal damage to the vehicle. The vehicle has not been inspected by the dealership. The vehicle was towed to a body shop for the necessary body repairs.”

The service engine warning light also illuminated shortly afterward. The steering wheel then became difficult to maneuver. The vehicle was driven to an authorized dealer where it was confirmed that the steering failed and that the vehicle was to be repaired under NHTSA campaign id number: 11v244000 (steering:column ). As a result of the suspension failure, the anti-lock braking system had also failed. …”
