“Korea has recalled this model of FPace because the timing chain is known to break with less than 50K miles. I have also read lots of posts on Jaguar forums about 2.0 Diesel FPaces being known to have timing chain failure which necessitated a complete engine replacement. I am terrified that my timing chain is going to come off and damage my engine every time I get in it.”

“Vehicle will lose power intermittently while driving and sometimes when you try to start the vehicle it will be come dead. I’ve replaced the battery and the problem still occurs. A few nights in a row the alarm system would just beep for no reason . I changed the key fob battery and that didn’t help either. …”

“The Check Engine light hasn't worked on our Jaguar F Pace since we bought it despite taking it multiple times to multiple dealerships (due to moving to three different cities). We were told by each dealership that it wasn't a issue unless it was flashing. The final straw was in Feb 2024 we were driving on a busy road (A1A) at 55 miles per hour and the car started jerking, making loud noises and then stopped. We had to have it towed and find transportation home. Thank goodness my husband was driving because I'm not sure how I would have handled it. …”

NHTSA complaint #11580494, filed 2024-04

“Car doors would not open from the outside of the vehicle and would not respond to the key fob’s signal either. The only way to get into my vehicle was to in climb through the trunk – which is a major safety concern. This first occurred on Janurary 13, 2023, and the dealership has been unable to resolve the issue since then, despite multiple attempts to do so.”
