“electrical power steering motors, failed. I quickly became unable to turn the vehicle at a rate which was necessary to drive safely. Well seeing how I still turn the vehicle on and it still says power steering failure or loss of power or whatever it is yes. There are warning lamps and messages on the dash it has not been inspected by a manufacturer police or insurance representative No they anything prior to it”

“On 5/18, I was reversing into a parking spot and my steering rack completely locked to the right, with no warning and while in motion, causing me to strike a parked vehicle. The car had to be towed and dealership mechanic said steering rack had an internal mechanical failure and needs replacement. After doing some research, I found forums of numerous people who have had this same issue. This is a known issue by Jaguar for this particular make model and year and they refuse to issue a recall. …”

“I was driving my car and all of a sudden my steering wheel became extremely hard to turn, and a warning appeared on my dash saying “power steering assistance reduced”. It took all my strength to get around the next turn. Luckily I was near my home and was only a few turns from my driveway. My husband looked under my car and the steering rack was cracked. After investigating online, it appears to be a common defect among Jaguar F Paces, and the cracks occur in the same two places, one of which matched the crack on my vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11656167, filed 2025-04

“For a few years there has been many repairs and complaints about the power steering in the Jaguar F Pace. I was driving home Friday in the rain when out of nowhere the power steering quit working and I almost wrecked in a turn. I looked at the fluid which is full and check to see any loose wires and see nothing. I tried to call Jaguar Customer service and they told me to reach out to the service department then call back if there is any issues. Right now I am down without a car and I don’t feel like I should be at fault and pay for a failed power steering system. …”

NHTSA complaint #11594532, filed 2024-06

“The contact owns a 2018 Jaguar F-Pace. The contact stated that while driving in the rain, the power steering assist failed to operate as needed with several warning lights illuminated. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact called a mobile mechanic to the residence, and an OBDII scanner retrieved DTC for the steering rack and pinion. A local dealer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided an estimate for the repair.”
