The car were 3 times at the dealer and the last time was there for 9 weeks. So they said they changed the steering column, the clock spring and the lights came back. “Bought used for my daughter in Jan 2023. Car had 30,290miles. The parking brake has been coming on while she’s driving. She is also getting a forward collision service message, as well as Lane assist service message. It’s gonna cost us $1K to repair. I hope this takes care of the problem. I don’t like my daughter driving a fairly new car with so many issues. The parking brake issue is very discomforting. Also the stop/start function is not working. The mechanic says a new battery will resolve this issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11541698, filed 2023-08

“I am reporting a safety concern involving the Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system on my 2021 Jeep Cherokee Altitude FWD with a 2.4L engine. Every time I start the vehicle, the dashboard displays the warning message FCW Unavailable – Service Required. The warning remains displayed while I am driving, indicating that the Forward Collision Warning system is not functioning properly. This is a safety concern because the vehicle is equipped with Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, which is designed to help warn the driver of potential frontal collisions. …”
