“I was driving down the freeway and the engine down shifted hard and the engine light came on. I pulled over, turned my vehicle off, turned my vehicle back on, and it drove just fine. I went to get the engine light checked and the code that came back was the map sensor. I just replaced the map sensor two months prior.”
NHTSA complaint #11022719, filed 2017-09, 137,000 miles“I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden the engine light turned on and my rpms dropped to zero. I pulled over, the power steering went out and the ability to brake went out. I turned the vehicle off and on and then it was fine, however, the engine light was still on. There were no codes when I went to a mechanic five minutes after the incident. This is the second time this has happened.”
NHTSA complaint #11001361, filed 2017-06, 134,000 miles“This morning I was driving into work, when my car wasn't getting enough power to move. Each time I would give it gas, it would sputter at me. This has been a constant problem since I bought a year ago... I would like to know what the problem is so I can fix it”
NHTSA complaint #11230340, filed 2019-07, 204,246 miles“The vehicle ignition is faulty and under recall. The vehicle will just turn off by itself. I have contacted chrysler Jeep but they have not returned my calls to repair this vehicle. I own 2 of these Jeep commanders and neither of them are safe to drive. Chrysler is aware that they are not safe but yet will not repair them or provide safe transportation until repair is made.”
NHTSA complaint #10654303, filed 2014-11, 87,000 miles“2nd car own 2007 Jeep commander has gone out of control while driving, turning off while driving or at a stop. Recalls on file with same history but does not include either second VIN number. Dealer services state nothing wrong with my car and have no explanation of incidents that occurs. And demands to pick up my cars.”
