“I was driving down the freeway and the engine down shifted hard and the engine light came on. I pulled over, turned my vehicle off, turned my vehicle back on, and it drove just fine. I went to get the engine light checked and the code that came back was the map sensor. I just replaced the map sensor two months prior.”

NHTSA complaint #11022719, filed 2017-09, 137,000 miles

“There is a recall for my Jeep, yet there is no fix. I drive many miles each day, and I was never notified that there was a recall. What if my car shuts off while driing on the highway? What if I get in a wreck? How can Jeep issue a recall and take over a year, then still not have a fix? What if my Jeep wrecks and I or someone loses their life?”

NHTSA complaint #10761802, filed 2015-09, 120,000 miles

“I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden the engine light turned on and my rpms dropped to zero. I pulled over, the power steering went out and the ability to brake went out. I turned the vehicle off and on and then it was fine, however, the engine light was still on. There were no codes when I went to a mechanic five minutes after the incident. This is the second time this has happened.”

NHTSA complaint #11001361, filed 2017-06, 134,000 miles
