“My 2007 commander, recently keeps alarming me service park assist while lighting up all the drive boxes, while im driving. When it does this I cannot give the car gas so I have to pull over, shut the car off and turn it back on. Its been doing this on and off for the past couple of months. Usually the check engine light comes on, I will take it to the repair shop and when they hook it up to the tester, it doesn't tell them anything is wrong and they manually shut the check engine light off. …”
NHTSA complaint #10363014, filed 2010-10, 56,000 miles“Approximately, two months ago, a valve stem on my Jeep tire was corroded and the tip cracked off, causing the sensor to go off on the dash and it was not able to have air put in. I replaced the valve stem at a cost of approximately $80.00. Just this past week, the same thing happened on another tire...the top of the valve stem cracked off and I am not able to put air in the tire. I'm sure it's only a matter of time until the same thing happens with the other valve stems on the other two tires.”
NHTSA complaint #10322484, filed 2010-03, 44,000 miles“We have a 2007 Jeep/commander sport thats really somewhat a proble since we bought it (used) and its been a problem since getting it. It has a serious problem with lurching forward while in park/drive and while you're pressing the brakes at a stop. It did it at the dealership as well they did nothing about it. We've replaced inner parts to the transmission that chrysler refused to cover under the warranty. We've had some type of module replaced a couple of times because the truck started running rough( chrysler covered that) each time it happened. …”
NHTSA complaint #10373526, filed 2010-12, 45,000 miles“Engine failure/stall/loss of power on 2007 Jeep commander. Has happened about 6 times now. Sometimes at low speeds...sometimes on the freeway. Started happening around 15,000 miles. Dealer tried to replicate it. They said they could not. So they have done nothing to fix it. I have told them about it 3 times. Now it has happened again at 39,000 miles and on the freeway. I lost control and it became an extremely dangerous situation as I tried to coast over to the emergency shoulder. Temporary brake power lost and no response to the attempts to start it in neutral. Please help! …”
NHTSA complaint #10267536, filed 2009-05, 15,000 miles“Was getting into truck turn on ignition and put truck in gear, then proceeded to takeoff then all of a sudden the ignition just cut off, I don't know if my knee slightly hit it or what but that sucker cut off, this has happened more than once, also the tire light stays before the dealer said it was a faulty stem, then I had it replaced and it still stays on, so please is there some resolution for these things!”
