“Jeep shuts down while drive down road, Jeep restarts without issue, and will run without problems. This has been the 11th time this has happens, this time I was also rear ended by a semi truck. I have had this looked at from dodge many times over the years, but they can't seem to find the issue,or don't care too. But to there def fence it only happens ever so often.”
NHTSA complaint #11140673, filed 2018-10, 17,000 miles“While driving at 60 MPH on the highway, my Jeep has jolted like it had lost power for a brief moment. The jolt was severe enough that it made my arms ache from it. This worries me as I have read many complaints about complete stalls at high speeds and this could cause a severe accident. My Jeep has 150,000 miles on it. This issue needs to be investigated before there is a fatality.”
NHTSA complaint #11153143, filed 2018-11, 150,000 miles“Driving at 58-60mph car stalled very briefly,a second or so, chimed once and then kept going, after about 1/2hr driving same speed my car did the exact same thing, stalled,we actually lurched forward in our seat, then 40 min later car did it again. 3 times total. I pulled off the highway and shut my car off and then drove without problems.”
NHTSA complaint #10633390, filed 2014-09, 6,200 miles“The engine warning light was been on and off for the last 2 years. We have changed-out o2 sensors and other fixes but the problem persisted. The issue was discovered by the local Jeep dealership: four of the bolts attaching the manifold onto the hemi 5.7l engine of our Commander were broken. The bolts and exhaust manifold gasket are being replaced - $642 cost.”
NHTSA complaint #10514139, filed 2013-05, 102,400 miles“Takata recall about a month ago I was traveling at 70mph on the interstate. When exiting the interstate my car just shut it's self off. No warning lights, sounds, etc. We tried for about 20 mins to get it to start back and stay running once running we took it straight to a mechanic who put it on a machine. No problems showed up on the machine at all and it's been fine ever since until today. This time my husband was driving and the exact same thing happened again.”
