After about 5 mins I was able to restart engine and now the check engine light bas and traction control lights are on.”

NHTSA complaint #10610615, filed 2014-07, 152,000 miles

“Driving at 70 MPH on tollway and vehicle stalled and steering wheel column locked up. This happened two days ago and is occurring more often. It is extremely dangerous because the steering wheel column locks as you are driving. It has happened four more times. I now do not want to drive the vehicle because I fear for the safety of myself and my daughter.”

NHTSA complaint #10451768, filed 2012-03, 74,000 miles

“My wife was driving to church with my daughter and the vehicle stalled without warning for the 7th or 8th time since we bought the vehicle. There was heavy traffic at 6pm and it scared her and my 9 yr old daughter to tears. This vehicle is a real danger to my family and the lives of others. It does not start at this point.”

NHTSA complaint #10480002, filed 2012-10, 100,060 miles

“Driving to work at the normal speed, my vehicle just turned off in the middle of traffic, which resulted in the car behind me hitting me. I am deathly afraid to drive this car. When I went to chrysler & called several times, I was told I was out of luck & couldn't be helped. I was even hung up on. I'm not sure what to do besides contacting the news & hiring an attorney, which isn't in my budget. Is there anyone that can help me?”

NHTSA complaint #10637155, filed 2014-09, 127,000 miles

“Was driving to work going about 60 MPH and motor just shuts off. Had to pull off to the side of the road and turn off the key and tried to restart engine. It didn't start on the first try had to turn key off and tried again it started. It did the same thing when I was going home that morning had to do the same thing as above to get it started again. This is very dangerous I didn't have power steering or brakes luckily I wasn't on the freeway.”
