NHTSA complaint #11388488, filed 2021-01, 160,000 miles

“Clicking noise from suspension area when driving. Vehicle only driven at slower speeds as it's vehicle my daughter drives to school. I took to mechanic and he said the frame is badly rusted and just touching it to show me the frame was breaking. Vehicle has to have the frame replaced to safely drive vehicle again. This shouldn't happen to a car of this age.”

“Purchased a 2007 Jeep Compass 2nd hand and found rear subframe and suspension parts is severely rusted . The vehicle clunks and hopps with every bump in the road. If you run over the reflectors while changing lanes vehicle will abruptly jerk in the direction you are going. Took it to Jeep there was a recall for this problem that expired in 2017 I don't think there should be an expiration date for a safety hazard that thousands of jeeps and or dodges have they told me they cant help me.”

“The front left side has come apart 2 times from the ball joint and a frame.
