“I purchased my Jeep Compass january of 2020. Summer of 2020 my camshaft and crankshaft sensor went out completely shutting down my car, then january of 2021 my camshaft sensor went out again. This time I was driving on the highway and my cars check engine and traction control light switched on at the same time and slowed the speed of my car. I've replaced my camshaft 3 times already this month and I'm still getting the same code of p0365”

NHTSA complaint #11388830, filed 2021-01, 133,132 miles

“The car has shut off multiple times while driving on the road. I have had the transmission flushed, replaced the battery, had the throttle sensor control replaced, had the crankshift replaced, and the catalytic converter replaced. I took the car to the Jeep dealer and even after replacing the catalytic converter the car still shuts off, and they cannot tell me why. The dealer stated that no codes are coming up so they cannot identify the issue.”

This year january of 2021 I was driving home on the highway going 65 MPH while it was snowing heavily and my cars check engine light and traction control light came on at the same time and slowed the power of my car in the middle of the highway. “The electronic throttle contol light came on and I experienced throttle control failure while the vehicle was in motion going about 45mph, at night, in the rain, in a construction zone, with a vehicle behind me and oncoming traffic, and my child in the car. The car seemed to stall out and would not accelerate, I was able to quickly turn on my hazard lights and turn the ignition off and restart the vehicle and go. This could have been a terrible accident!!!!! The malfunction indicator light remains on.”

I tried to continue driving but it wouldn't drive as I pressed on the accelerator.the prnd all had a square around them. The mechanic was able to fix the problem by making sure all cables were clear from dust, debris or not connected properly. That seemed to work the first time. After 5 days of driving the car it happened again. As I merged into the expressway the car suddenly lost acceleration. …”
