“I was driving on the service road about to enter onto a major highway and my Jeep had three caution lights pop up on the dashboard. Next thing I know my rpms were all over (limp mode) and my cars power started to stall. I had to pull over and was in a really bad spot that had no shoulder. I restarted the vehicle and the check engine light was lit. I was able to drive it into a parking lot. This was quite a scary situation and had me fearing for my safety. I looked up this problem and seems like quite an occurence. …”

Stopped, turned off ignition. Restarted and ran normal from 10 minutes, then problem repeated three other times. In shop, they replaced and intake sensor and output speed shaft sensor. Cost me $300+ and the output sensory installed did not work, had to replace it with another before car ran right. Car tied up for four days. I am giving up on Jeep, poor quality, frequent repairs. …”

“2015 Jeep Compass stalls and loses power steering with no warning. It has happened at low speeds in my neighborhood as well as on the highway. The rpms will suddenly drop and then shoot back up and the engine will die. The power steering goes out when the engine dies. No check engine light comes on. No codes given. Sometimes will start immediately others you have to wait a while to restart.”
