“My electronic throttle body failed while driving. I noticed the flashing lightning symbol. This made my vehicle rapidly lose power so I had to stop vehicle immediately. I had vehicle towed to rick hendrick Jeep dealership which diagnosed and fixed issue. This was a very expensive repair.”

NHTSA complaint #11326304, filed 2020-05, 62,000 miles

“I purchased my Jeep Compass january of 2020. Summer of 2020 my camshaft and crankshaft sensor went out completely shutting down my car, then january of 2021 my camshaft sensor went out again. This time I was driving on the highway and my cars check engine and traction control light switched on at the same time and slowed the speed of my car. I've replaced my camshaft 3 times already this month and I'm still getting the same code of p0365”

NHTSA complaint #11388830, filed 2021-01, 133,132 miles

“I purchased my 2015 Jeep Compass sport january of 2020. Summer of 2020 I had to replace my camshaft sensor and my crankshaft sensor becuase my car completely shut down while I was at work and would not start. This year january of 2021 I was driving home on the highway going 65 MPH while it was snowing heavily and my cars check engine light and traction control light came on at the same time and slowed the power of my car in the middle of the highway. I got my car read and the code came back as p0365. …”

NHTSA complaint #11388836, filed 2021-01, 133,132 miles

“All engine lights came on, electrical components started going out, then car would not go over 10 miles per hour, even with the accelerator pushed all the way down, then the car completely shut down on the middle of a very heavily traffic road. Power steering, all electrical components and engine refused to work. Had to have the Compass towed to nearest dealer and problem was the entire computer system went out. 4 month old vehicle and the entire computer system fried. Took 6 days to get it replaced. …”

NHTSA complaint #10783848, filed 2015-10, 10,000 miles

“The minute the front tires start to slip on any surface, I lose power in the engine, I don't have front wheel drive or 4x4. The 4x4 light comes on the dash with an exclamation point and flashes. It rear drive shaft doesn't engage. This makes my vehicle useless. The smallest amount of mud, snow or ice/slush-the vehicle just doesn't work. Its very dangerous to be driving when this happens! I've seen some jeep Cherokees being recalled for the PTU (power train unit), but that's only something with the computer system. …”
