“Rough idle, spotty acceleration, remote start cuts out, engine light, ebs light, throttle control light all come on, higher RPM this issue sounds like multiple others that people have had, but there's no recall for my VIN?. The attached description from another person is exactly what is happening to mine. My vehicle has 62500 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #11281006, filed 2019-11, 62,600 miles

“The car has shut off multiple times while driving on the road. I have had the transmission flushed, replaced the battery, had the throttle sensor control replaced, had the crankshift replaced, and the catalytic converter replaced. I took the car to the Jeep dealer and even after replacing the catalytic converter the car still shuts off, and they cannot tell me why. The dealer stated that no codes are coming up so they cannot identify the issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11344066, filed 2020-08, 97,400 miles

“Takata recall the throttle control indicator came on and then I started having issues with being able to accelerate. The check engine light came on and the throttle indicator light went off and come back on randomly. I was told that there are two sensors that have been know to go bad on jeeps and one if not both would need to be replaced. There was no warning just lost all acceleration capability going 60mph in motion on the highway.”

NHTSA complaint #11091694, filed 2018-05, 70,820 miles

“I purchased my 2015 Jeep Compass sport january of 2020. Summer of 2020 I had to replace my camshaft sensor and my crankshaft sensor becuase my car completely shut down while I was at work and would not start. This year january of 2021 I was driving home on the highway going 65 MPH while it was snowing heavily and my cars check engine light and traction control light came on at the same time and slowed the power of my car in the middle of the highway. I got my car read and the code came back as p0365. …”

NHTSA complaint #11388836, filed 2021-01, 133,132 miles

“The electronic throttle contol light came on and I experienced throttle control failure while the vehicle was in motion going about 45mph, at night, in the rain, in a construction zone, with a vehicle behind me and oncoming traffic, and my child in the car. The car seemed to stall out and would not accelerate, I was able to quickly turn on my hazard lights and turn the ignition off and restart the vehicle and go. This could have been a terrible accident!!!!! The malfunction indicator light remains on.”
