“When I braked for pedestrians, the auto stop feature turned off engine as I entered a sloped parking space. After pedestrians cleared, I depressed the accelerator. When the engine eventually restarted, the car surged forward and hit a wall at the end of the parking space---damaging the bumper.”
NHTSA complaint #11013079, filed 2017-08, 6,000 miles“My Electronic Stability Control, Cruise Control and Traction Control all went offline without any notice. Dealership can not figure out what to do. This is a huge issue in my opinion because of the inability to keep the car straight when hitting a pothole or any bumps in the road. the vehicle does not stay in a straight line. I have reported the problem to the dealership with no help. It hasn't caused a wreck yet, but I'm afraid I'm just postponing the inevitable.”
NHTSA complaint #11468023, filed 2022-06“I hit a deer at 65 mph, causing significant damage to my vehicle, $7,300+ to the front end. I have a safety beacon that detected the accident through my insurance, that detected the severity of the impact, resulting in an immediate call for safety to check on me. My airbags did not deploy, but there was a nasty aroma of sulfur during the impact. My minor children were secured safely in the vehicle, as well as myself. I, the driver of the car hit my head very hard on the steering wheel and window during impact, causing whiplash- neck pain, and reoccurring migraines still to this day 3-21-2026. …”
